I really think Dream Theater are a spent force creatively speaking. Even people I've spoken with who have been longtime fans of the band say they don't listen to them much anymore. All of this only reiterates the old saying "All good things must come to an end."

All I said was that they have/had the potential whether now or in the past. They have never really spoken to me by the way

They're all talented musicians, but they haven't really spoken to me either.

The last two albums have not spoken to me much....I can listen to other albums and enjoy them quite a lot.
For me they are in a rut, I am sure for some they are doing just fine. I have been listening more to LTE, that is some great music.

Thumbs Up It's interesting that years ago Nursery Cryme was my least favorite of the Gabriel era, but now I just adore it from start to finish.

I thought their last two weren't half bad, ADToE at least was pretty good, IMO. And this comes from someone who's not a big prog metal or DT fan.

Anyway, before:

Going to see Chicago tomorrow with REO Speedwagon as the opening act.  Expecting a good show...assuming the all day rain today goes away for tomorrow.
