My first exposure to them was seeing them live, opening for Sonic Youth in '91.  It was intense.  So intense that I wasn't really ready for it.  I didn't start buying their albums until a few years later.  But boy they did make an impression.

TIM BUCKLEY- "Sefronia" first listen. Much better than I expected. The only thing anyone's ever published about this album is that it sucks. But damn it's lovely.

TIM BUCKLEY - "Happy Sad" - i used to say Astral Weeks was a copy of this until I realized it was released after Van M's album. Oops. It's still better.
