Does Peckerman want to lose the game?

What the hell is Guarín doing?

You never change a team that is winning.

I'd love to see Colombia score now
It helps that Brazil is playing like corpses

There's still hope that Brazil won't win this tournament, or even play in the final. Crossing all my fingers and toes.

Really poor refereeing in this match, IMO.

Brazil is going to miss their captain and defender for that match against Germany. I still believe it will be a Brazil/Argentina final even if neither team has hit their potential yet.

Neymar too. He got a fracture in the spine. He's out of the Cup!

It's certainly a blow for Brazil but I think they have sufficient attacking power to take up the slack. Perhaps more worrying for them will be the absence of defender Thiago Silva through suspension. He's been holding Brazil's creaky back-line together since long before the tournament even started.

Getting back in it now, wonderful finish for the goal.

I guess after such a glittering opening round, the balance needed to be redressed with a couple of boring 1-0 games , as the Germany-France tussle was not very exciting, neither was this poor Argentina- Belgium defensive game. Needless to repeat, the Brazil victory was a thug fest of the worst kind, both teams waging war instead of ‘jogo bonito’. Hopefully Holland will keep on shaking the tree.

Brazil-boo    under performing

Argentina- boo   cagey Italian style, score and shut down .

Germany-nothing special, tight defense and Mueller being a diver/complainer par excellence.

Defense wins? Too bad!  Confused

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

My sentiments exactly Thomas.

One thing that bugs me is that Costa Rica is playing Holland now. I would've loved to see them go further. Same for Colombia actually, but both Holland and Brasil have been faves of mine since I was a wee lad.

Go Holland and go exciting football!!! Fingers crossed for a thrilling game that doesn't rely entirely on one goal and defense.

I thought Argentina were very professional in the same way Germany were. Their most impressive performance so far.

Gives the USA a reality check on how well Argentina shut down the team that terrorized them.
