Yeah, cause Britain has no religious fundamentalists. I don't think that would mean the religious right would not exist today. It would still be around and just as annoying as ever, I fear.
In the interests of civility and forum etiquette, I shall ignore your "football" comment.

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I've eaten "authentic" fisn'n'chips on Pier 39 in San Francisco ... the portion size was indeed ridiculous. However the fish was excellent with the batter light and perfectly cooked, the only disappointment was that the chips were "fries". Can't comment on whether mushy peas were present or not - I can't abide the revolting muck - it's baby food for adults.

I get the feeling that there aren't 'portion sizes' in the US. Only limit is how much you can get on the plate. (so gravity).

As has been observed previously on this forum, "soccer" is public school* slang for Association Football to differentiate it from Rugby Football, which is abbreviated to "rugger" ... the toffs would have probably called North American Handegg "gridders" or something.
*Of course "public school" means "private school" such as Eton and Harrow.

I just can't imagine the food. Bangers and bloaters. Cock-a-leeky. I can't even imagine saying some names of the food dishes.

Eventually, as in the case of Australia, Canada, India, most of Africa. Sooner or later these colonies would have been given their own way. But I would imagine the borders would look different than today. Maybe British North America would be from the Atlantic coast to the Mississippi River.

We'd all have bad teeth, drive on the wrong side of the road, and eat everything boiled, curried or in some sort of glutinous gravy.
I shudder to think what sort of music we'd be listening to without the invention of blues, jazz or rock. Probably some ridiculous variant of burlesque.

^ That's a thing? Why would we want less of that if it is a thing? I say let natural selection run its course.

I imagine realistically: As the empire inevitably dissolved the USA would become like the other former colonies? Either part of the commonwealth, and eventually gaining full independence, or basically full independence but under the commonwealth.
Pretty bland answer I know.
I reckon we would also have cool variants of the British accent, though it wouldn't actually be pleasant to us in this world...just the norm. So actually that would suck!
