I have a song with a similar message that is in my head quite often.  I assume probably for the same reason that that song is in your head.

"Automatic," a nice single by the Chicago power-pop band, "Off Broadway!"  I'm good friends with their bassist from the 1980's. 

They opened for UK in Chicago, they didn't go over very well with the prog-hungry crowd!
