SUPERTRAMP - "Breakfast in America" (1979)

The nostalgia is almost too much to bear, but what a fine album.

Now there's a rating system I can get behind. Cool

von Frickle Feeding The Organic Compute album cover
I kind of forgot about these guys.  I think that they probably would have a lot of appeal to you King Crimson fans out there.  All instrumental.  Use of guitar synths; mini-moogs; theremin; and a guy playing clarinet; trombone; trumpet; cello; French Horn; Baritone Sax; and Sousaphone.

I saw Wolf Eyes in Barcelona during Primavera Sound. They played in a stage called "Ray Ban Unplugged" where the singer started the set screaming "WOLF EYES UNPLUGGED! IF WE HAD AN ACOUSTIC GUITAR WE'D PLAY ONE" proceeding into the most heinous noise feedback ever.

Loved it

they're fantastic live. The singer is acting as some sort of Fonz parody, the guitarist is screeching all around and in general they all look like they just came from some dark alley from Detroit which has more dark alleys than it used to these days :(

They have closed down a number of bowling establishments in recent years.

A modern take on mid/late-seventies heavy metal in the vein of early Judas Priest, or perhaps Rainbow when they still had Dio fronting them. Total Übermensch music.

With an album name like Black Vomit, I'm guessing it's an album of romantic piano ballads, amirite?
