I have the USA in the office sweepstake so I'm looking forward to them reaching at least in the final.

Iberian meltdown , as both Spain and Portugal seem lost in fluffy space! Together,  9 goals against and one for ......Stunning really!

Great but unlikely being in South America but it would be awesome!
Indeed, they really 'love' each other! (remembering fondly the Rijkaard vs Voeller spitfest!)LOL

Damn it!! I hate Germany (football wise).
WTF happened with Portugal though?!?

The only good thing about this is that Ronaldo lost. I hate him even more than I hate Germany. A man who is well and truly in love with his own reflection.

When Denmark cleverly beat Deutschland at the Euro 92 , I was the happiest non-Dane camper. One of the finest footy moments ever!  Wink

Hahah!! I actually rooted for Holland when they met Denmark in the semi-final, and was absolutely gutted when they lost. I regained my patriotic sentiments for the final though, but was still sad about not having Ruud Gullit and Van Basten to root for

Hey, its not that dislike the Germans but I hate their overbearing 'uebermensch' arrogance, Mueller is another Rudi Voeller (not very sympathetic man)
Like Ozil &  Podolski though.

I have a lot of German friends, and I adore their experimental music, the litterature, paintings (Max Ernst!!!!) and well I could go on.....I just don't like their football teams
*Sorry Uwe*

Oh well, it's not like we didn't expect it. Poor preparation, wrong call-ups, wrong starting eleven, the team looked like they had been partying all night (which I wouldn't be surprised if they did). Hopefully we can regain some pride in the next two games (though I wouldn't bet on it).

And I know people generally hate Ronaldo, but if there is one thing one can't accuse him of is lack of passion. But really, he shouldn't even be in the World Cup, nevermind actually playing.

Muellar should have had a yellow card for exageration I think.  Cheat.  (Not saying that the other shouldn't have been red)

Heard after the first half of Argentina - Bosnia:

Scotland has Nessie, Argentina has Messi. They’re equally hard to spot.

I say nothing is nothing

Nah, I think Pepe really hit him the first time. Wish the ref had seen it, he might have stayed on the pitch then! LOL

Mueller was rolling around like he'd had his jaw broken after the first minor contact, then he's up like a shot and arguing with Pepe once he was 'headbutted'. I'd have given Mueller a yellow for acting and Pepe a red for the headbut, however minor the contact was.

I f**king hate Mueller
