Huh? Rush in Rio was the groups first trip to Brazil. The video certainly shows the crowds appreciation for the boys finally going to Brazil. Fans in South America are known for being incredibly loud, very involved and yea a bit insane but they love rock, metal and prog. If you watch the included documentary you get a sense for what the band went thru and how the fans love them.

Have you not seen the Iron Maiden shows of them in Brazil and other South American countries? The crowds are insane and into the music and concert experience.....I think its cool!

Just because it's Rush, doesn't mean I'm going to give an automatic 5-stars or even enjoy it. I didn't like the performances nor did I care for the audience. I'm one of those 'synth period' Rush fans, so I'm quite biased on what I consider a good performance from them and, for me, their later work shows a decline in quality and that particular concert didn't win me over, although, as usual, I appreciate their level of musicianship.

I agree, no 5-stars just because. But you have to put yourself in the shoes of the audience...They had never seen Rush live till that tour. Regardless of the performance the audience attitude is more than acceptable.
We here in the US are not accustomed to that type of behavior I agree, in some ways its sad because groups love that and they feed of that behavior.
Plus these were some of the biggest crowds Rush had ever played to, I think they were more than overwhelmed.
