Frankly, I think this irresolute Greek team, with it’s lack of tempo, precision and imagination, will have to book tickets home quite soon. And nobody will miss them.

Seems like that indeed, unless big changes are made

I'm surprised at Costa Rica scoring two on Uruguay... Then again, Suarez isn't playing today.. Looking forward to Italy destroying England later today!Tongue

6 games up to now.
Not a single 0 x 0.
22 goals, meaning 3,7 goals per game.
Not a boring game up to now.

I’m not surprised. Nine of Costa Rica’s players have been playing in Norway, the hardest league in the world.

(If you don’t get my comment, please look up the word "irony" – but congrats to CR! Very well done!)

Traditionally, when Italy scores a goal, the rest of the match will be a yawn. I hope that I’m wrong.

And while I was writing, England scored! Not a yawn anymore!

Maybe so, but that's the best I've seen England play in about 5 years and the most invention they've displayed for at least 10. They were worthy of at least a point. Sterling, Barclay and Lallana point to a brighter future (and I think they're capable of beating both Costa Rica and Uruguay who should have average tattooed on their forearmsWink)
Not sure why Hodgson brought on Jack Wilshere though, as he hasn't featured for Arsenal this season due to constant injuries and he was invisible here. Rooney was routinely ineffectual but his delivery for the equalizer was top drawer. Most of the danger from the Italians came via England's left flank and on the evidence of this game, I think Hodgson needs to provide more defensive cover in front of Leighton Baines. (Candreva and Darmian combined to provide an overload threat on that side throughout)
England have the ammunition to trouble teams who play a high defensive line (unlike Italy)
It's been a brilliant World Cup so far as every side is actually trying to win the games rather than just eke out sterile draws.Thumbs Up
