The guy who invented wall paint is probably 10 times more famous, and useful, than Kona Lowell.
Who the f**k is that?

Great night yesterday. So many people said that Holland would have no chance. What a great game against Spain

^ an astonishing match that no-one saw coming. However, it might be wise to temper caution re the media proclamations of yet another 'seismic shift' in the footie globe. Every team and style of play has a shelf life and Spain's tiki taka possession game has been one of the most successful and enduring of all time (has anyone won three major international finals in a row ever?) Most games hinge on pivotal moments and this one was David Silva's missed chip shot when Spain were already 1 up. Had that gone in it might have been a very different second half but yes, Netherlands young defence were up to the task and Robben had one of those games where he is unfailingly brilliant and almost makes you forget what a prancing failed speed skater he normally is. The inclusion of Diego Costa is something that Del Bosque will probably regret and I suspect he rather uncharacteristically caved in to public/media pressure on this issue. Either way, his centre forward only contributed a fairy tumble to win a penalty, a head-butt to a Dutch defender and making the entire population of Brazil thankful he chose to represent Spain after all. However, don't write Spain off just yet as Portugal thumped them by four in 2010 when La Roja were at their peak and the Portuguese have done squat since. Similarly, quell the return to total football bollocks being bandied about re the rebirth of Oranje. (they really ain't that good)

Eager to see England x Italy later today.
English press, some organizations, members of the royal family, etc, so "concerned" about the rainforest... well, now it's time to enjoy Manaus, with its monkeys, snakes, spiders, all kinds of bugs, even people (surprise!).

I know. Before it was: Spain will go far, and Holland not. Now some people tend to think the opposite. Both is exaggerated, I suppose. One of the reasons why Spain acted poorly is also that they still were tired from a heavy work load, while someone like Arjen Robben was quite fit. We'll see, we'll see...

My crossed fingers didn’t help. But the ouzo was good! Frankly, I think this irresolute Greek team, with it’s lack of tempo, precision and imagination, will have to book tickets home quite soon. And nobody will miss them.

They did seem to lack something. I expect the they left the engine going for the plane home.
Uruguay Costa Rica now. I like Costa Rica as they won me some money when they beat the Scots in the opening game years ago !
