70's Prog - a Retrospective

I have just Purchased "The Pentateuch" - a late 70's Collaboration between Dave Greenslade and the Artist Patrick Woodroffe - comes with an excellent booklet - (smaller in CD size of course) - strangely - this was made right at the time when prog was supposed to be dead (1979) - I also bought Greenslade (first) album and their last two before extinction - and Dave went solo.....
Bedside manners I already had - and which I consider to be a masterpiece - the Hammond solo in Drum-folk (after the haunting mellotron) is possibly unique in it's spine-tingling melancholia....
Who's with me on this??

Bedside Manners Are Extra is an outstanding album in spite of the mediocare vocals by Dave Lawson, I love how diverse Greenslade's sound and playing.
I'm not familiar with the other album you've mentioned but it's definitely not surprising it was recorded in 79'. Although a lot of bands have already veered in a different direction, still I can think of dozens of bands that were playing progressive rock in the most courageous way.

Before Greenslade Lawson was in a band called The Web, he appeared on their third album. Fantastic album where his vocals are much better and finally suits the music. Very recommended and I would provide you with a utube video but I'm on my phone now and it's kinda complicated, but here's the PA link...
