This is an absolutely outstanding and expansive progressive new-wave album. It is tasteful and immaculately produced. It has been my favourite album for the last 6 months and is easily the best french language album since Si on avait besoins d'une cinquieme saison.

Lighght - Kishi Bashi

New this month, Athens Georgia based violinist and indie rocker Kishi Bashi released his sophomore album Lighght. Not quite as birght as his also excellent debut 151a, but by for more complex and complete. It has a diverse selection of influences including disco and new wave, but of interest most pertinent to the PA crowd, KB name drops Yes and ELO right in the album notes. This one is also not to be missed.
