D:

Well, even though i loved the first episode (and the entire show!), i can easily say that it does get better. I would try to watch the entire 25 episodes to get the full experience whether you're blown away or not, but it does get more unpredictable and dramatic as it goes. I think once it hits episodes 7ish is where it skyrockets.

Much better, particularly once the main characters get older and sign up for the army in after 3 eps. The middle of the series is rather flash back heavy though, if that kind of thing bothers you.

here is all the anime i liked or have liked as of right now:
1. Pokemon (the gateway one)
2. Yu-gi-oh! (the original at least)
3. Dragon Ball franchise (thanks to Dragon Ball Z Kai)
4. Fairy Tail (for a few years now)
5. One Piece (always spoiling myself but im trying to stop that, but come on 643 f**kin episodes?! sheesh)
6. Soul Eater (binge watched whole series during spring break)

there's another comment i might put here pulling up another discussion about it or at least have a new spin-off discussion off of it when i get around to it

Right now i'm flying through Future Diary. Diggin it a lot really.

I love the insanity and the unpredictability with the relationships throughout the series.

I quite enjoyed Mirai Nikki, a great plot and you'll love the ending, but it does have it's faults, mostly the character being a whiny little SOB and that he's pointlessly trusting.

It has been the case numerous times that anime soundtracks are wonderful (some maybe not). Like I listen to soundtracks from movies, other animation, and tv shows and the music in no way measures up (some movies do have amazing soundtracks though). Anyone else feel the same? Well I think Japanese music is awesome period too... but I don't know their soundtracks are the best. Like I feel like anime soundtracks are far superior to most soundtrack music, anyone feel the same way?

There are some stellar western soundtracks too, but I do know what you mean. Japan is a very rich country musically and artistically, at least to me. Anime and all its aspects are only part of it.

Narita, Karazawa. Sorry for the misspelling (if they are) too lazy to look up the correct spelling. Some other places I can't remember. It was less than 2 weeks long.

What pretty towns! I've always wanted to visit the Sagano Bamboo Forest in Kyoto. It looks like a gorgeous place.

I've (finally) finished Shinsekai Yori. I ended up giving it an 8 because it really just kept getting, better, and better, and better after what seemed to be a slump. Plot unfolds perfectly and continues to have interesting themes strung through.

That's one anime I started a while back but never returned to. There were some great parts, but I think the weakness you pointed out was what made me put it on hold. It is one that I will probably return to when I have the time.
