Spiral is a Polish prog/post rock band with a fresh approach to making this kind of music.
Their compositions incorporate sounds which we are used to hearing in a wide array of other genres of music, like trip hop, ambient, electronica or math metal. Spiral came to life in 2004, however the line-up that allowed fully effective work stabilized at the turn of 2006 and 2007. On 2009 they released their debut concept album "Urban Fable" Urban Fable was highly praised by critics and was awarded with the prestigious title of "Polish Album Of The Year" by Antyradio. On 1.04.2014 the second LP album called "Cloud Kingdoms" had its premiere. Previously rejected in 2010 and suggested a year later:

Exactly, but the 1.04.14 is marked as release of a new album, so that is why my suggestion for checking the album out. And maybe the band will fit the requirements. The genre tags are only approximation. Songs: Malleus Maleficarum, Raw or Knives and Affection are quite "proggish" in my opinion. best regards, Edited by sqby - April 30 2014 at 03:53 |

Okay, well I think their latest is still a little too mainstream indie sounding (with a bit of metal). I understand where the 'post-rock' tag applies but it's the dream-pop/alt rock kind and not the proggy kind.
