There is a drawing of the cover art in the vinyl version too. I've got it hanging on my wall

Geinō Yamashirogumi - Osorezan / Dou no Kenbai
Quite simply one of the most out there things ever, but it works!

Hey Phil
Do you know Osorezan? I mean if you consider yourself a fan of genuinely progressive music, then you gotta listen to it. Starts out with a frightening scream and then turns to avant funk, psych, symphonic and zeuhl. One of the craziest opening cuts I've ever heard.

I been obsessed with the Firesign Theater and The Fall lately.  Right now listening to the Holy Grail for Firesign fans, a data DVD containing 80+ hours of their early 70s free form radio shows.  Absolutely mindblowing and brilliant.   I've had it for about 3 years and haven't even come close to hearing all of it yet.   Edited highlights were released on their 1972 double album "Dear Friends" (also the name of their show), but apart from that, most of this has been unavailable and unheard by all but a select few.  And it's too far out to just listen to casually - you either have to really concentrate on it, or listen to it while half-asleep (or high, but since I don't get high anymore, being half asleep provides much the same effect).  I actually prefer the half-asleep method, as it has a way of dovetailing with the sort of dream-logic stream of consciousness my mind operates in at those times.

Yes, kids, there are safe substitutes for drugs.

Klaus Schulze at 4 in the morning provides much the same effect as being high. I'd call it beat.
