LOL
I know what you mean. There's a classic rock station in Chicago that I turn on now and then and they play all those bands all the time...over and over and .....
Seriously though!  I should also include Tom Petty and John Mellencamp in that list too.  This station plays the same handful of songs from the same handful of artists ad nauseam.  It's ridiculous!  Give me Yes, give me Genesis, give me freakin' Focus for crying out loud.  Hell, I would be happy to hear some Alan Parsons Project or Supertramp every once in awhile!

I wish there was a classic rock station in my country: all the radio stations play the same handful of songs, except for the jazz station, that's the one I usualy listen to when I forget my car's flash drive LOL

Totally. As a trumpet player, the synths annoy me.
I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

Please drop me a message with album suggestions.

Well, the only time I listen to it is while I am driving and even then I don't listen to it all that often.  Occasionally I get lucky and they play some Pink Floyd, ELP or Black Sabbath, but typically they only play the bands I listed.  My point is that my definition of classic rock includes everything from Carole King to King Crimson and Electric Light Orchestra to the Mahavishnu Orchestra.  I just wish classic rock radio stations were more inclusive and less exclusive.  Can't speak for the rest of the world, but that is definitely the case in the USA.  Variety is the spice of life where as familiarity breeds contempt.  I'm sure "Free Bird" was once an incredible song to listen to, but hearding it two or three times a day, every day, it begins to lose it's impact.

Double ditto. I think he ripped off the Hokey-Pokey for inspiration.
Also whatever song it is that repeats 'do what you want with my body' over and over.

Having two young kids, I can say that there's certain kiddie show theme songs that have brutally implanted themselves in my head that I'm looking forward to not having to deal with when the kids get older. I imagine the singer for the 'Super Why' theme song and other tunes within that show to be some dude who was born a little too late to become an early 80's AOR star and had to settle for this gig, while getting drunk almost every night. He could actually be a pretty good prog singer.

I know all the Dora The Explorer songs by heart, from the opening theme, to the song The Map sings, to the "We Did It!" song to everything else. Kill me.

There are others...but at least I don't allow Barney the dinosaur in the house. I'd rather catch the kids watching The Nude Beach Volleyball Championship Spectacular than that crap.

I think I probably mentioned this already (can't be bothered to check) but Hey Jude would be high on my list only because the girls at work torture me with their version (badly out of key and screeching na na na na na na way too earlyAngry)

Ah yes, the FYC. Way back when the Berlin Wall was coming down me and a friend went on a, er, pub crawl. At the time two TV stations were competing. One was playing Delicate Sound Of Thunder, the other was playing Roger's The Wall In Berlin. Every pub we visited it was one or the other.

Things were going well. Then I opened my big mouth about this remarkable happening to a bar maid in the (as it turned out to be) last pub. She decided enough of this most excellent Floyd and put on FYC instead. I immediately suffered an acid attack and had to cease drinking and go home.

Never happened before or since.

Friggin' hadn't heard it for years but remembered it straight away - Crash Test Dummies - the singer sounds like he's choking on a potato.......probably their only hit, something about "birthmarks all over her body".........ultra-ultra crap......
