I'm proud to announce the release of my band RARE GOAT's first album of original material,"Hallways", now available for free on Bandcamp:

Our music is the product of three quite different songwriters, of which I am one.  I would not call it prog in any sense of the word, but if you like good solid guitar-based pop/rock, I think you'll find something to enjoy here.  Three songs apiece from us for this modest, 40 minute offering.

I'll be listening to this whole thing later on.

I so listened to Tender is the Night and while i enjoy it i think the only criticism i had for it was the sound of the cymbals. Sometimes how it breaks through everything makes it seem a little fake and computerized. I'm not asking for million dollar recording gear now - just something that came up. I may be 100% wrong.

Grats on the release, Steve. Wish i could do this.

Thumbs Up

Edit: Checked Watch Your Diction for clipping - i hear it too.

Thanx Austin. :)

As for the clipping in Watch Your Diction, I've checked it out and hear it too - it's NOT on our master though, which makes me think it might be a Bandcamp translation issue, though I can't imagine why. Jack's going to have a look too and hopefully get it sorted out and fixed.

I figured it out and fixed it.   Please feel free to re-download Watch Your Diction for a better copy, if you downloaded it earlier.

So glad to see you finally finished it SteveSmile I gather your guest guitarist got it right at some point thenTongue

Cool, glad you're going to check it out, David. Beer

While I'm here, I'll also say that I'm very pleased at the reception this album has been getting.  I know some people at www.deepnuggets.com, and they've been playing songs from the album on their internet radio shows quite a bit, way above and beyond the payola I sent them.  For that I am grateful.

Rare Goat News Flash

If you get CNN International (separate channel from CNN), set your DVR to record the travel show "CNNGO" at 5:30 AM eastern time, Wednesday Nov 12 (i.e. tomorrow morning). Jack has told me that our song "Shark Jackets" will be used in the show - possibly during the ending credits.

I don't get CNNI unfortunately, so I'm not sure how I'll get to see it. Maybe it if goes online.

edit:
The CNNGO website says it's airing at 5:30 PM, not AM. So if you're so inclined, check both times to be safe.

Ahh snap! I would've loved to hear this.
This should definitely end up online so as all the cool cats can get in on the uncommon billy.

Is it the World Sport program?  I'm pretty certain that I don't have access to it either.

It's a travel show, featuring a new locale in each episode, so I've heard.

It was a show about Atlanta, in a segment hosted by Ted Turner's daughter Laura, look for the link called "Delicious in the 21st Century".  About 1 minute 30 seconds into that clip, our song starts.  Though Jack tells me it was incorrectly credited as "Shark Attack" instead of "Shark Jackets".  Oh well Ermm

I'm sure it won't set the world on fire, but we did have a good number of hits on our Bandcamp page that night.  No purchases of course.
