Krokofant - Krokofant (2014)

First listen. According to their label this Norwegian guitar/drums/sax fusion trio sounds "like some unholy three-way marriage of early 70s jazz rock (Mahavishnu Orchestra, Terje Rypdal, Ray Russell), the sprawling progressive odysseys of King Crimson and Henry Cow, and the fierce heat of Peter Brötzmann’s harsh free jazz ensembles." Sounds interesting! Let's see...

Edit: Yes, sounds promising.

BOBB TRIMBLE - "The Harvest of Dreams"

Fascinating obscure psych-folk artist from the late 70s. Sounds kinda like modern lo fi indie pop, but done 30 years ago.

Hubris and bad vibes abound. Makes you want to perform an exorcism on your swimming pool.

that album scared the pants off me. The first track did, anyway.

Me, now:

JANDEK - "Helsinki Saturday"
Live recording of the Unnamed Corwood Rep playing piano, accompanied by someone on harp, and no singing. One 68 minute improvised piece. Not bad for a guy who's not really a piano player.
