I saw a "coffee stout" today that was called Morning Wood.

But I bought a pale ale called Savage Jack.....we'll see if it's anything special.

Long story but basically the number 23 allegedly has 'mystical properties' in occult lore and I first read about this in the late 70's  in a Robert Anton Wilson book called Cosmic Trigger.
.Dr Wu is indeed from the Steely Dan song.

'Morning Wood'......that's funny if it's referring to what I think it is.
LOL

For this poll I would pick Guinness, though Sam Adams Cherry Wheat is very nice too.  One of my favorites is a smokebeer call Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Marzen from Germany.  An amazing smoky taste.  Just delicious.

Now here's a memorable beer, way over the top in taste.

And a sample review by some dude on the beer rating site:
Huge beautiful aroma, all coconut and vanilla and dried cherry. Rich red with very light lacing. Notes of coffee, more coconut, intensely sweet caramel, toffee, bananas foster / spicy banana bread, and then a heavy alcohol burn- this might be the bourbon barrels showing off- and slightly harsh pine needle finish. Sticky sweetness remains on my tongue. Just so much going on here, if the finish were smoother I think this would be a 4.5+. Excellent nonetheless.

Wow, sumac beer....heavyLOL.   Love the reflections of the party in the bottles....will have to look for it.

That Barleywine ale is pretty intense.  My head is very glad I stopped when i did last night.  I've a sense you could mess yourself up pretty bad with it if you aren't careful.  Though I'm a bit of a lightweight with drinks anyway.

Even better than Young's  Double Choc stout imho....this one by Smith is very smooth and is easy to drink at only abv of 5%. ....my current favorite choc stout.

Man, this stuff is way too much for me.  This stuff will mess you up.....over 11% alcohol. It tastes like about half bourbon, half beer.

If you wanna be knocked on your ass, pick this sh*t up.  OOFTA.  I really don't care for it on second try.  Too strong for me to enjoy.

I generally love quads/barleywines, but can't really picture it working well to bourbon-barrel age one.  Not compatible tastes, I'd think.

My coworker had an Evil Twin Ying & Yang (two bottles, black & tan) last night.  They were both 10% so when he was done he rightly claimed his coding productivity was probably nil.  LOL
