Latest classic album I haven't heard until now. Very spartan in its aesthetic, and somewhat closer to previous generations of rock music than most of the goth/industrial stuff JD influenced are thanks to the more groovy rhythm work. Already on first listen I can tell it's a more mature work than Unknown Pleasures, the guitar playing having much more definition and edge to it with the songwriting being more deliberate in its departure from pop/rock conventions. |
