how many members do the ProgArchives have? 5000? let's say just 1% of them is of the opinion that the latter King Crimson are the better one. that would make it 50 people would you call 50 people "few"? it is certainly few compared to the bulk, but nevertheless it is quite a number.
if you don't follow my argument and say "1% is few" consider this: how many prog fans are out there? let's say it is just a million. that would still make 10000 people who are of that opinion. now while that would be a clear minority it is anything but few. would you not agree? |

Of course not. Of course 50 out of 5000 is "a few" the remaining 4,950 are "the many". 1000 is few compared to the remaining 999,000 that are many. It doesn't matter what size the population is, 1% is 1% is 1% (sorry, but it's turtles all the way down). Besides, your numbers are pulled from the nether regions of your imagination, so what if that 1% was 5% or 0.01%? ... The 'strewth of the matter is we just don't know how many would believe such a thing (and it seems that Pedro has failed to be counted as one of them), from my experience here I have seen a few.

Dean, I m not talking of the number in comparison to the rest, I am talking of the mere number. 1% of the earth population is 70 million. I doubt you would call that number "few"

My calculations, analyses, statistics, tarot readings, and all further studies conducted on the subject have revealed to me that there are 7 people who like later KC albums better than the first ones. And of those only 2 are not direct relatives of Mr. Fripp.

Even if we begin by agreeing, place me and Jean in a room for five minutes and this will be the result.
