The latest "classic album I haven't listened to until now", like what I'm hearing so far.
"The past is not some static being, it is not a previous present, nor a present that has passed away; the past has its own dynamic being which is constantly renewed and renewing." - Claire Colebrook

ALAN SORRENTI - "Come un Vecchio Incensiere All'Alba di un Villaggio Deserto" (1973)

Italian singer with kind of a folk/jazzy Tim Buckley vibe, but at least on this album and the one before it, a strong tendency towards the avant garde, calling to mind Buckley's more out-there work (e.g. Starsailor) or even Peter Hammill's crazier side (e.g. In Camera).

I'm listening to "The Permanent Way" by Big Big Train (English Electric II). Beautiful!

(BTW, does anyone know where the Englishy spoken prose/poetry in that song comes from, and who recites it?
I want to play this song on my radio show tomorrow and would love to talk about that prose, but haven't been able to find info on it, and liner notes don't have it).

Magma - Trilogy...
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.
