Yes, beautiful to watch. I also enjoyed watching Belarus' Iron lady with her 3rd gold medal at these games! All individual events too!

If you ask me, yes, but I don't care too much about cross-country skiing anyway. If you ask other Norwegians though, you may get a different answer.
The guy in charge of the waxing of the skis in the cross-country events (biathlon included) has made a real cock-up, you see, and this has become a great scandal in my country. The word "crisis" has been used. It's almost the only thing they're talking about during the Olympic coverage on Norwegian TV channels. The whole country is almost in mourning over this, it seems.
We're crazy about our cross-country skiing here, it's our national sport after all, but come on! War in the Middle East? Famine in Africa? Who cares!? We've got a ski-waxing scandal! It's beyond ridiculous!

Two Golds in Cross-Country Associated Events, Including Gold and Silver in the Nordic Combined. There's still the Biathlon relays for Norway, so not too bad !
The US, however, is having a sh*t Olympics.

^ It's true.
We (the USA) seem to be masters at kicking ass in training/practice then biting the big one once it counts.

Gotta disagree, everyone at my work cheered when they announced Canada had one and the stories continue to flow in of people in cars honking thier horns at the news and the local sports radio station has been getting calls from Canadians all over the world expressing their joy. Sure it's far less popular than men's hockey but this is huge. Probably the way they came from behind has a lot to do with it as well.

In fairness to the ladies, the penalty call that took away their golden power play chance early in OT was probably the worst call I've ever seen. I've never seen anyone, ever, get called for a slash because they tapped the goalie a split second after the goalie absorbed the puck. If that was a slash then it's a penalty that's committed in every game every single time a goalie catches a puck. I didn't get to see much of the game but was told Canada was getting away with murder in the 3rd period while the refs just watched. This would be in fitting with what I've seen in the men's tournament. Would've thought that in Russia there'd be a pro-Russia bias but it appears everything going Canada's way. We'll see what happens tomorrow but if there's a questionable call or blatant no-call late then I'm calling foul on the whole affair.

What a miserable hockey game to watch. The Swedes have to play absolutely nobody the entire tournament to this point and when they finally do that opponent lays an egg. Had Rask started the game for Finland they'd probably still be playing but poor coaching decision leads to an extremely weak go ahead goal and an undeserving future silver medalist in Sweden. God, I hate the Swedish team. Such garbage.

And actually I preferred the Italian girl to all of the others. She had a maturity and natural expression, a more relaxed movement, compared to the cold technical perfectionist tendencies of others.
