Just got Transatlantic - Kaleidoscope today.  Quite a bit to absorb on first listen, but Into the Blue is epic.  I find it so far less lyrical contraversal than Whirlwind.  Still the first 2 albums are better than the last two to me,  but it is still great stuff!  Still only 1 listen so far on Kaleidoscope......

That is a great one, but I have to admit I actually like World Without End a tad bit more. Can I consider ? an epic, because I think that is my favorite Morse Epic

New album hasn't clicked for me yet, but my head is not in symphonic prog mode. Not sure it can beat The Whirlwind, but it's definitely as good as BAF and maybe SMPTe too.

Is it in Zappa mode? I just got into him two months ago. I love Zappa from what I have so far. Anyway, Epic Prog Cruise is going down. Jealous for all the people going and hanging out with awesome proggers. So many sweet bands there and of course MORSE!!!

Well, I don't think they've ever topped SMPTe, but I'm not a huge TA fan.  The new album to me feels very safe.....no bite, no surprises, no challenging listening whatsoever (though it's a challenge for me to listen to Shine at all Dead ).

As to Neal, I agree Seeds Of Gold is fantastic and "?" is probably his best epic ever to my ears.

World Without End is good, but not my favorite of his epics by a long shot.  Momentum is a pretty solid album, but I prefer Testimony 2, ?, and Sola Scriptura.

Is '?' really that good?  i've not been able to get through it.  the lyrics just really grate.  Seeds of Gold is a masterpiece.  his best epic both in and out of Spock's.  On par with the best TA epics too.
speaking of TA, i listened to the new on a few times then put it away.  not really interested.  glad i didn't go on that cruise.  i was seriously considering it and really really looking forward to the new album.  kind of sad i don't care for it.  oh well.  Cool
Stardust we are.
