That was the track that got me interested in Il Berlione, thanks to you nominating it for "Best track 1992". So, thanks!

Anyway, earlier:

Mëkanïk - Dër Mëkanïk Groovës (2006)

From their bandcamp page:
"This project has been trapped under ice for several years and is a one-off recording by members of Lydia Laska/ex-Dismal Euphony, Gehenna etc. Imagine black metal taking acid with 70s proggers like Van Der Graaf Generator and having sex with Black Sabbath, this may well have been the result. ‘Der Mëkanïk Grööves’..." (can't seem to get their minds together about the album name, these guys, on the disc it says 'Dër Mëkanïk Grööves', on the cover it says 'Dër Mëkanïk Groovës') "...is a trip into uncharted territories of BLACKENED SPACE DOOM."

A pretty good description, but not entirely accurate, IMO. Despite the Magma inspired name, and that I've seen it described as Zeuhl Metal before on this site, this is more T/E Prog Metal, of the Mastodon persuasion, with Ozzy-like vocals, to my ears. A very good, although disappointingly short, mini-album/EP. Can be listened to in full on bandcamp.

I heard a track from that album in the record store just yesterday.  Made me so happy.  Even though the song had the F word in it and my daughter was with me. Cool
Ain't it a great one?
