Okay I'm just pissing myself off now.
Light (and thus night and day) came before the sun, moon and stars so evidently some artificial light source was employed. I'm thinking hydroponics here since land appears to be an afterthought too, so we're looking at some mega-scale naughticulture ...
which suggests that genesis occurred sometime in the 1960s, probably in Haight Ashbury.

Light years are those that pass on unnoticed and usually uneventful, as opposed to heavy years like for example 1939, 1945, 2001, among others. 1726 was a light year. So was 2007.

Solid point. I had forgotten about that. 1960 seems like a tenable working hypothesis. I can scarcely recall a year before 1990 myself so it would seem to mesh well with my occluded world view which I would like to remain constant.

After reading this I can predicate [edit: say] without high risk: if you ever convert to any religion, it'll be Mormonism.
Not the most accurate faith but congrats...

While I'm not religious I have to say I fully respect those whom religion has given peace and harmony in their lives. I have cases very very close to me of people that were stressed and that had chaos in their lives and a new found belief (not in priests or anything but in something spiritual) has given them newer perspectives that seem to have changed (or at least improved) their lives. What is it to gain by being the ultra smart who insists on trying to convince them that their beliefs might possibly be wrong?
If Jesus compels any of us (huhuhu sorry) to heal believers from their harmful nonsensical beliefs, without having to perform dirty jobs, here's a procedure that has already born its fruit:
1. Be part of soul-training schools where believers are segregated 24 hours a day from non believers.
2. Become a (fake) leader in their community.
3. Pray regularly for the Holy Spirit to come into the community and Satan be bound and left off the community
4. Once (and only once) they're sure God has entered into them, express some doubts about their relationship with God. They should react: how can a faith leader not see about the tightening of their relationship with God ?
Or if you're lazy, just tell the targeted believers that you don't feel any real joy in them (less effective, because they'll say God hasn't opened your eyes).
See the results...
You're welcome. But better let's cure living beings from their vulnerabilities. No vulnerability=no search for Providence (and also, no violence...).

not a hope. First off it is a cult, secondly it is an american cult, thirdly it is completely nonsensical, fourthly magic underwear, fifthly tithing, sixthly no tea, coffee, alcohol or tobacco, seventhly the law of chastity, eighthly no matter how they prevaricate, they are creationists, ninethly the book of mormon, tenthly it's a cult.
(ps, odd choice of word, predicate, wrong, but still odd /edit: and still wrong)

You never mentioned polygamy as one of the reasons against it...
Generally working on the assumption that LDS's abandonment of polygamy is more or less widely enforced and having more than one wife is okay as long as the one you're married to doesn't find out.

That's BS btw.
Are you sure Dean?
All this are from the Atheist thread

Shhh, Dean -- nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! Particularly in an Atheist thread. I think I'll go spam the Christian thread with equally inane pronouncements regarding my non-belief, complete with whole pages of Wikipedia-derived doctrinal hyperbole. I might even bring out...the comfy chair!
And I'm not the only one who noticed

Don't deny it Dean, it's obvious.
Yes I am sure. You said: "I wrote in the Atheist thread and was asked to avoid it, that they needed a place to rant about religion..."
...and that is complete BS - no one told you to avoid it and no one said they needed a place to rant about religion.
