^ As far as I remember from my Core Humanities class (CH201, I believe), that first line became popular with incorrect translation. In Latin, "imago" means "a vision for, a blueprint, a mental design", not "an image". But it f$%king stuck. And there are plenty of other ridiculous misconceptions about the Bible, like ... things that are even not in the Bible.

By the way, excellent post, Slarti.

Anyways, it's not even about anything I've said above here.

It is in my nature to question a lot of things. We don't know anything about God. At first I thought "he isn't there" because that idea makes sense (hint: I went through a Greg Lake (you can ask me) / George Carlin phase). But I don't know. What if God is a [you think of something here] ? I believe that makes me an agnostic.

Is Neil DeGrase Tyson really considered a condom defying homophobic paedophile in the Vatican? Confused

The first things atheists have to do is stop acting like religious fanatics. I'm certainly an agnostic but I'm disappointed when I see so many troll atheists turning a lack of belief into a movement. One of the points of atheism is NOT belonging to a movement, isn't it?

Also that guy in that big pic above... "Ralph." He better learn to spell before he tries to be the face of anything...

The face of anything has a tendency to look like an arse, Ralphism is no exception.

Ralph Tip: If you don't trim your nose hair, your camera angle should probably be pitched downwards.

I don't think there's much of a trimmer, razor or pair of scissors in the Ralph - Face of Atheism's house...

I agree with you.

I'm anti-fanatic....No matter if atheist or religious.

Guys like Ralph feel more intelligent and developed because they are atheists.

I don't care about the religion (or lack of it) in the persons, I care about the persons.

Guys like Ralph justify fanatics like Fred Phelps.

And worst, retarded morons as the guys from the National Atheist Party, are doing what they criticized in religiouis people....Making the religious  belief (or disbelief), part of the  National agenda.

They want a separation between state and religion, but want to impose an atheist state like USSR, Kampuchea or Mao's China.

BTW: Did science gave us life?

Unless your father is a scientific, I don't see how.

Science is a discipline  that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe.

Or God or nature created life, not science

I find Ralph's little speech idiotic, but where does he say anything fanatical? He appears to be saying that if the religious will work to convert non-believers, then non-believers should work to convert the religious.

What does that have to do with anything? Of course the human discipline of science does not account for the initial abiogenesis on Earth.

Science did create life as you know it though.

This is also a moronic reductio ad absurdum.

If God exists (As we believe), he created HUMAN SOUL at his image, not the body.

As far as I know, God is a spirit, not flesh and blood being.

Ralph should probably learn how to spell before posting "seriously" on the internet....

That's not what he says, he said:

Quote As intellectuals we must refuse to live in a word governed by brain dead neanderthols who deny the very same SCIENCE THAT GAVE THEM LIFE in the first place

He says that SCIENCE GAVE US LIFE.

This is as false as a 20 dollar bill with the face of Che Guevara.

Sounds more like a very limited nerd writing incoherence after incoherence  from mom's basement and making terrible grammatical mistakes that not even guys like T or myself (Who are nor mainly English speakers) make.

Iván
