You do realize there are valid musical genres that are not vapid pop music or full on prog, right? WinkLOL

Next you'll be telling me that when I close my bedroom door, the fifteen sex mad lesbians that sneak out of the wardrobes and cavort naked upon the duvet are a figment of my mind! Even though when I re-open the door all I find is the bedroom as I left it just a few minutes ago....Why 15 you may ask! well that's just it I just don't know....

I think it would be impossible to give my top 10 at the present time! I can give the top four (in no particular order I think)
Garden of Dreams
I am the Sun (both parts)
Monsters & Men
Stardust we are
And By Ronnie I presume you mean Roine - The Flower King

Did Stolt call his son Gabriel - after Peter the demi-god or actually the angel Gabriel since he does seem to be obsessed by fecking angels !!! and not just the fallen one !!!

Roine Stolt has two sons named Johan Sebastian Stolt and Peter Gabriel Stolt.
When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

I'd start with Blomljud, I think it's by far their best. It is a little lengthy though. But then again so are most TFK albums.

I have one of theirs Rob, their debut A Doorway To Summer.  It's fairly light but symphonic for sure and with a definite TFK twist (Tomas Bodin produced the album and has championed the band).  It didn't totally blow me away but interested me enough to make me order another (Blomjud) which is on it's way to me at the moment.  The vocals are excellent, particularly the harmonies (anyone mention the Carpenters earlier Wink) though I can imagine they would put some people off.

Did you get round to buying that Erik Norlander cd?  Now there is one artist who would really hit the spot for you Cool.

I can heartily recommend Moon Safari!!

It's lovely stuff - kind of a cross between TFK and The Beach Boys. They can sometimes get a bit sickly sweet but in 30 minute doses they can really put a smile on your face and give you a lift Wink

Meanwhile, here are my top 5 Flower Kings tracks:

I Am The Sun - Parts 1 and 2

Garden of Dreams

Monsters & Men

The Truth Will Set You Free

Stardust We Are

The Beach Boys & Carpenters??? Not sure that is selling it to me - though what I heard coming out of son No 2's bedroom was sufficiently enjoyable for me to purchase one to take in properly.

That's just the vocal harmonies Rob, you'll see what we mean in good time.  Don't worry there's no sign of Good Vibrations Tongue.

Well, those all go in my top 5, with the obvious exception of Monster's & Men.  I'd replace that one with Just This Once, or maybe Devil's Playground.  My order would be different  as well:

Garden Of Dreams
Stardust We Are
The Truth
I Am The Sun (both parts)
Just This Once / Devil's Playground

Yeah, it's ROINE.  Not Ronnie.

The Flower King IS a Roine Stolt solo album, in case you didn't realize.  It would be my favorite of his solo albums as well.  If we leave that one out, then I would pick Wall Street Voodoo.

Where on the web can one see how many copies of a CD have been sold? With all this downloading going on now - I'll bet purchasing of CD's is no longer required - you can just roll your own so to speak !!!

Goodness, what all have I started . . .

Lets see, top five Flower King songs these days:

1)  I am the Sun
2)  The Truth Will Set You Free
3)  Humanizzimo
4)  End on a High Note
5)  Serious Dreamers

. . . and yeah, I'm really digging Snow Patrol.

Roj, do you listen to Metric at all, they're kind of electronic at times, though not as ambient as Boards.

-------someone please tell him to delete this line, he looks like a noob-------

I don't have an unnatural obsession with Disney Princesses, I have a fourteen year old daughter and coping mechanisms.
