It's been a while since I've seen it so it'll be worth seeing it again, but in almost all anime cases I'll take subbed over dubbed every time (FMA is about the one exception) as I feel these American distributors just don't care about who voices them and they end up being rubbish. Steins;Gate is a good case in point.

Haven't seen that one yet but I am familier with another series of his, Lupin III, which is brilliant. |

Ah, Planets had been made into an anime? Typically the kind of manga hard to turn into animated version: the balance between the atmospheric scenes, the slice-of-life-like scenes and the action scenes must have been a pain to maintain.
By the way, I happened to see some episodes of Kill La Kill yesterday: very funny, indeed! |

Great anime @ Kill La Kill. I've been watching it and it kills me to wait days for episodes to be released.

This is how I felt about FLCL. I heard that it was really popular with most anime fans, but I just couldn't get into it.

^Same here, the lack of any discerning story killed it for me.

But you know what I am enjoying now? Death Note. This one actually has a very interesting story to it and I like the English dub cast. I believe the guy who voiced Light also voiced Amuro Ray for Mobile Suit Gundam.
Also, I just finished Desert Punk. Despite some mixed reviews for it, I enjoyed the raunchy humor and silliness. Definitely not one to be taken seriously.

Hello everyone, I am new to the forums but I am also a fellow anime viewer. Is anyone watching any shows from this season so far? Nothing I have seen yet has been exceptional. I think the show I am enjoying the most right now is either Log Horizon or Ace of the Diamond.

That doesn't fill me with cnfidence, I hated the American dub for MSG, and with Death Note I think the Japanese cast was brilliant anyway. @mononokifool, the only series of the recent season I've seen is Valvrave the Liberator, which to be honest is mediocre. |

I'm enjoying Death Note at the moment too, also watching the Dub. I'm on episode 19 so not thaaat far but yea i really like thought put into the interactions between L and Light. The show has some depth to it and isn't a typical action show.
I can see why L is such a favorite in the anime world, i'm attracted to him too as a character,

I felt the same about Valvrave. Even as a fan of mecha I just could not get into it. The robot designs were cool enough but the premise and the characters where all pretty lame.

I don't understand what people like about Baccano!'s dub, though. It didn't really do anything for me. |

I'm only about 6 or 7 episodes into it, but I'm loving the whole investigation aspect. Each side trying to figure out the other. |

The best anime series ever IMO. The plot and strategies are awesome. Death Note is the LoGH for children.
