Now you've made him seem even more scary!
I agree though, he's not so good on the high notes. Mind you Gabriel probably can't reach them now anyway.

In case you weren't aware, Nad Sylvan sings on the Roine Stolt project Agents of Mercy and his first project was a band called Unifaun, who were created by members of a Genesis forum and have quite the Genesis sound if that kind of thing interests you.

Ah yes - Nad is a member here (Uninad) ... he of the infamous spat with Iván over a less than flattering review.

Just wondering about these current court cases with DLT, William Roache and Rolf Harris. Bearing in mind the principle of "innocent until proven guilty", what evidence can there possibly be given that some of the alleged offences go back 50 years or so? If it's a case of her word against his, can you possibly find someone guilty on the basis that you believe that someone is telling the truth, but there's no hard evidence?

You're not the only one thinking along those lines - also, had the Jimmy Saville scandal not hit the headlines with such force a couple of years ago, would any of these cases exist at all?

Judging by some of the alleged victims comments, it is the Saville case that has made them realise they are not alone and should therefore report the crimes but I still wonder how in all honesty these people can be found guilty with a lack of firm evidence.

That does appear to be the case - I dare say there's a bit of bandwaggon jumping going on among the genuine allegations & it's these which are watering down the seriousness of the issue.
As you say though - some of these allegations date back 40 odd years; how can the CPS honestly say in any of these cases there's sufficient evidence - this begs the question, how have they got to court in the first place? |

That's my question exactly. If I was one of the jurors I would ask "where's the evidence?", you can't bring it down to who you believe the most.

I've taken up a trail period for Spotify Premium (which I'm quite impressed with so far, but that's another thread). By chance, I had a recommendation for Pallas (based on Pendragon I think) so I thought I'd have a sneaky listen to "The Sentinel" to see what I've been missing all this time.
All I can say so far is, Jim Garten I feel your pain,

thanks Patrick, yes it's been deeply traumatic for many and it could get worse... the Somerset Levels (such a beautiful area ordinarily) has been completely under water for 4/5 weeks now..

So glad two of our friends no longer live there - they used to live about 6 miles out from Bridgewater (Sutton Mallett).
Jared - you must be kind of in the danger zone yourself. I heard reports the river Wye is close to breaking banks. Mind you, if the Thames is going, the Wye's close to going, then I guess the Severn will be next |

Further to this, William Roach not guilty on all counts (one of his accusers actually said in court she had no memory of the offence... whaaaa??) Jury out on DLT as I type... we'll see. |

Jim, I never thought I'd write the following sentence, but: 'Thank Goodness for ASDA!' (For Patrick and our other American friends, please read WALMART). I now reside on the north bank of the River Wye, by approx. 1/4 mile. A few years ago, ASDA sought and were granted permission to build a 24 hour supermarket on prime land on the south bank, providing they contributed heavily toward the cost of new flood defences around that stretch of the River... money very well spent. We are nevertheless surrounded by places such as Tewkesbury (where a pub has markings on the side of the building, where the water has risen to each year) Tenbury Wells (which had the public toilets washed into the river a few years ago), and the anachronistically named Upton upon Severn, (which has spent much of the past decade being Upton under Severn) where properties will simply be uninsurable in the future. I really feel very sorry for their hardy citizens.... meanwhile, I'm lead to believe that Hereford Council are considering giving permission for the construction of a block of executive city centre apartments, slap bang in the middle of the unprotected flood plain... |

To be honest I can see no other result than not guilty for DLT as well. There doesn't seem to be any evidence whatsoever and he's had a lot of character witnesses.
