Oh and no such thing as typical KrautrockSmile I don't believe so at least.
If you're ever interested in checking out some of this music, I'd be glad to be of help. If you beforehand mention what you're into/not into, I could make the slice double as sweetBig smile

Nice talking to ya my friend.
Heheh, figured ya were. LOL

You certainly know heaps and heaps of what I don't know, so it sounds like a good deal to me!

Oh, and likewise. BeerBig smile

Have you tried any Krautrock yet Gabe, or do you just dislike everything that you've heard from the scene? I'd imagine you digging some of Faust's material tbh.
"Daddy! Take the Banana!!! Tomorrow is Sundaaaaaay!!!" doesn't ring a bell?
My Krautrock listenings are disappointingly low. I've heard some Amon Düül II, Can and Faust and nothing blew my mind as such. This was a while ago for some of these so I should try them again.

Alright, I know how that goes. A lot of the music I'm loving the most right now, is something I couldn't fathom 5 years ago.

You could give Amon Düül ll, CAN and Faust a second try, sure - maybe it'll stick this timeSmile I wouldn't rush things though, if you know what I mean? I see you're digging some Supersister at the moment, and maybe that's where you need to be right now. Who knows, maybe you'll be a huge Krauthead by the time you're as old as meTongue Sometimes I think the music needs to breathe a while, before you drink it....
Sound advice haha. I think I would appreciate it a bit more now since I'm not after hyper-technical stuff (that actually does nothing for me a lot of the time nowadays). Hey, I quite liked Wolf City when I heard it. Not sure of the Krautrockiness of that one, but I thought it was good enough to listen to the whole way through.

Yes, I shall try it again when I think it just might hit me. Big smile

Handshake
and hey don't knock Wolf City - one of my fave albums everStern SmileTongue and sure it's Krautrock - as is the subsequent ADll releases. Believe you me - even when they were at their poppiest and most song based, they were still 'experimental' as hell.
Was not knocking it at all my friend. Big smile

(Just wasn't sure whether it was typical Krautrock or not) Embarrassed

^Nice list Darryl, although I'm kinda surprised to see you've listed Ummagumma as your fave psych album (I do agree thoughSmile). With so much to choose from, even inside Punk Flute's own discography, it's not that often one sees Ummagumma in these kinds of lists. Kudos.

This is proving much harder than I originally anticipated.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
