Two of my Christmas gifts were The Real Frank Zappa Book, and an original print of Uncle Meat in good condition with all the sleeves and booklet!!!

The Lather/Orchestral Favorites version of Duke of Prunes is the best version of the tune, IMO. Beautiful stuff.

When the Snow Apocalypse hit the U.S. Midwest last week and being stuck inside, I rather enjoyed listening to Apostrophe. As the story in the first part of that album was relevant to my surroundings then. Yellow Snow Crystals ha ha!

I definitely thought I wasn't going to keep it up after Joe's Garage and that '79 show, but taking a week off before picking right back up at Tinseltown Rebellion was a very good idea.

no scratches or anything, just a couple of loud pops. Spine's is rough shape but cover and selves are vg+. Booklet's included and in nm condition

A very good question. Best one stop shop for FVZ is Lather. 3 CDs of an example of most things great and good. Probably the most representative album. He even does a bit of the Whole Lotta Love theme soling over the riff (Duck Duck Doo). But a sublime piece of music that may just (short of Watermelon In Easter Hay) be his most exquisite number is The Ocean Is The Ultimate Solution. If Hot Rats made it's way into the collection that would be a good thing. But lather is the one. Might be an idea to regard his '60s era Mothers of Invention music in a different way. He joined that band and became their writer, leader and inspiration divine. Not that you'd think so from the bootlegged asides from his fellow band members that somehow found their way on to their records...
