I noticed that the biography of Sesselberg (Progressive Electrinic) is incomplete. I wrote something. Where I can send it so that someone can read it and maybe add it?

And (out of sequence - I just happened to stumble on this...) Silent Exile.
http://www.silent-exile.com/entrevues/reunion_ent.html (Interview with their keyboard player Cedric Rioux) "Silent Exile is a Canadian progressive outfit based in Ste-Julie, Quebec, consisting of Chriss J.Y. on vocals, Fabrice Blanchet on guitars, Cedric Rioux on keys, Sylvain Gagnon on bass (and additional vocal on 'Silent Witness') and Denis Ainsley on drums. Being more than the sum of its parts, Silent Exile is the result of a symbiosis between its five members. Each one of us holds an important place by bringing an essential component to the sound of the ensemble. It all began in the late eighties. Fabrice and Sylvain were playing together in a cover band named Secret Tears. This band was constituted of long-time friends and their repertoire was featuring songs from Saga, Marillion, Led Zeppelin and others. After a couple of years playing covers, they decided to write their own compositions. Unfortunately, the musical views of Fabrice and Sylvain were not shared by the other members of their band. So they continued playing covers while searching for the right elements to suit in their project. I met the guys in the summer of 1996 at a jam night in a local bar. During the evening, we discussed of the project they had of making progressive music and it interested me. After a couple of months of speculation, I finally joined them. We then had to replace our drummer. After several auditions, we chose Denis and we changed our name for Silent Exile. We then began seriously to work on the material that you can hear on the Dancing With Death album. Vocalist Chriss J.Y joined in 1998, a couple of years after the split-up of his former band Cromatic Shades in 1996. At this time, the songs were almost all finished. We entered the studio in the late summer of 1999 and Dancing With Death was released January 17th of 2000. We then launched a huge promotion campaign mainly across the internet. DWD was reviewed in about eighty magazines, webzines and other fanzines besides of winning CD of the Month awards in many of them. The excellent reviews we got helped us to get distribution deals in many countries." (Lots more in the interview, another interview with Cedric here: http://www.silent-exile.com/entrevues/fire_ent.html, and another with two members of the band here: http://www.silent-exile.com/entrevues/edge_ent.html). Band website: "During the years 2000 and 2001, Silent Exile shared the scene with a dozen premiere musical formations among which stand Nightwish, Symphony X and Planet X. All these events brought character, insurance and experience to the young band and indeed truly proved that Silent Exile delivered the goods during their live shows." http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Silent_Exile/2281

You could maybe use this one? Or there's this one in color that I cropped off the back of one of their albums: Hope one or other will do. |

thanks! guess I could have just said "the Barrie area". At least some people know where Barrie is, as opposed to Brentwood

There is a mistake in the Rose biography. They hail from Barrie, Ontario.
P.S. I was lucky enough to see them in my hometown high school in Prescott, Ontario in the fall of 1977-they played mostly songs from A Taste Of Neptune, complete with smoke bombs, strobe lights, etc. and they had their own tour program which they gave out, and my copy was stolen from me, unfortunately. |
