Indeed, though looks like they weren't really that good at all, but were masked by the offense which has certainly gotten a bit sh*ttier has time has gone on. Not that Peyton can't pull out a win, only 14 points but they seem a bit more lackluster every time (sans the Pats game were they pretty much didn't even try )

Don't worry. The Chargers always have a good collapse in them.

IDK, second time they actually stopped San Diego just to give it back on a penalty. Yikes, I know Rivers is having one helluva year but legit, this defense sucks.
Thank god I dropped them a minute before the game and picked up New England's!
Edit: Dreadful game. I enjoyed folding clothes more than that. Congrats to San Diego

This makes things oh so very interesting in the AFC. The Bengals and Patriots both have decent shots at the #1 overall seed now.

Peyton Manning action figures, every box comes labelled "Warning choking hazard" awwww that's just wrong. But I chuckled!
Yes, New England is probably gunna sneak into the SB yet again.

Woo Chargers! Doubt they will be able to pull into the 6th seed though. Those two losses to the Texans and Redskins were killers.
But yes...that Denver team laid an egg alright. That defense is certainly no good but even the offense seemed sluggish.

Amazing how the Charges can play when Norv Turner isn't the coach.

Not exactly lighting the world on fire, though Rivers has had a resurgence.
LOL the Giants FB fan page is pretty much alight with comments hating on Kevin Gilbride, glad I'm not alone!!
My favorites "Kevin Killdrive" "It's time to go, you can run on 2nd & 24 somewhere else" "you're sh*t"
If he's not dumped offseason I'm so starting a change.org petition to fire him!

I mean doesn't he kind of run the perfect offense for Eli though? I think the problem is more that you can't run the ball.

Well that certainly doesn't help, and the line does need a major boost, but take that for example. It took until like week 10 for Gilbride to change to a more conservative passing game, he stuck with the long developing deep pass attack even though Eli was getting pounded like every drop back.
And it's a pretty complex offense. When it works (2011) it's amazing, when it doesn't really work (2010, most of 12, 13) it's not so hot. I mean, look at guys like Peyton, Brady, Brees and Rodgers...looks like they can connect in their sleep. Now Eli is not those guys... but still the miscommunication is baffling. Even 12 games in you have WRs stopping dead while his ball soars to the endzone, or them going out when he expected in and it flies right to a defender. And he's had an off year, I dont think its as bad as the stats say but he's not been on his game. So maybe less option routes and etc
And stop running the ball every second down!
I'll agree though, when he has protection the deep pass game is what suits Manning best

Bottom line, the Lions hold their own fate. If they win out, they win the division and the remainder of the schedule is nothing but very winnable games for them. Unfortunately, their whole schedule was full of winnable games and yet they're sitting at 7-6, and now in second place in the North.

Didn't watch the Giants game (thank god) I was out in Eagle country so we were able to watch them give up 48 without AP, but yeah looks like the game was as ugly as I could've imagined. 5 picks, 25 yard on 14 carries. As pathetic as that is...really can't say I'm surprised. Really really hoping the team cleans house..some tough moves are needed. I'm not even bummed about the loss, how can ya be? This was like a college team playing the Seahawks. IDK, Rutgers may have done a better job!!! Least the Cowboys blew a huge lead, thus continuing their woeful December play. I hear he threw a pick on their last 2 drives. While I give credit where it's due (Romo has been great recently and carrying the team) I will always take the chance to lol at his failure My boi Alex Smith throes 5 TDs Miami tops New England with game ending pick. Sounds like another wild weekend
