This was such a great year for prog that even if you take away all the big boys, you're still left with a lot of great albums.

This reminds me of the 1973 monthly polls I did earlier this year.

Over-Nite Sensation is one of my favorite Zappa albums, followed by Focus 3.

As much as I've been diggin' Wolf City lately, Girls Gone Plump is without a doubt my favorite Caravan album, so it gets my vote.

Man, there are endless great albums here, but I'll go for a personal favourite that always puts me in a great mood, Curved Air's `Air Cut'.

That back cover is one of my prog favourites, looks amazing on vinyl!

Eloy-Inside-the first album by Eloy i ever heard, i still remember finding a used lp copy of it around 1989. It is my favorite of theirs, next to the debut.

Another tough set of choices............
There are several there that are equal for me...Hatfield, Caravan, RTF, Strawbs.....if push comes to shove I'll go with Hatfield.; never get tired of that one,  though Plump is right there also.

I heartily concur! Metamorphosis is a prog masterpiece, showing Jobson as a wunderkind. UHF and Armin are perennial favorites too.Clap

Fabulous year , perhaps the best ever!

I thought it was a multiple choice poll, anyway I'm happy to have given the first vote to AREA.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

I own albums by a lot of these artists but surprisingly few listed here. With those, the standout for me is Hymn to the Seventh Galaxy by Return to Forever. Great album despite Big Al not being in the group yet.
