Hot off the press via my email tonight:
The New Album - 'Incarnate' PANIC ROOM have been extremely busy in the recording studio since the summertime, working hard on our brand new album - which has up until this point only been referred to as 'PR4'!!! Well, the album sessions are now fully completed, the music is sounding incredible, and we are only a few short steps away from being able to take pre-orders for the band's fourth album (in advance of its official release date in early 2014). So after your patient waiting - and inquisitive guessing! - we are now ready and excited to confirm that the new album from Panic Room will go by the name... INCARNATE This title perfectly encompasses the music and moods created on our new album, and is also the name of one of its most powerful and evocative songs. Incarnate simply means 'embodied in flesh', or 'in the flesh'... and this feels absolutely right to describe the music we have written and created for this new chapter in our career. Music which is bold, beautiful, beguiling, exhilarating, and intense with life. This is Panic Room, Incarnate. The album has been completed and mixed; and the next stages will include Mastering (the final sonic 'polish'!), artwork completion and manufacture. We hope to be able to take pre-orders for the album during December (more news soon!), to guarantee our fans a place at the 'front of the queue' before the album's Official Release date! (Feb 2014) There is also to be a tour to promote the album: INCARNATE TOUR 2014 To launch the new album with a bang, Panic Room will be launching a major promotional Tour in 2014! Concert dates will begin in March and run through until June, spanning the entire UK as well as several European countries. Shows already confirmed include: EDINBURGH - Voodoo Rooms CARDIFF - The Globe NORWICH - Arts Centre BATH - Komedia READING - Arts Centre HRH PROG - North Wales ...with gigs in London, Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Leeds, Poole, the Midlands and other locations all currently being confirmed. European fans will have chance to see PANIC ROOM performing Live at the Boerderij in Holland (Netherlands) on 4th April, and other shows in Europe are scheduled to include Belgium, France and Germany. |

Panic Room have completed work on their fourth album, Incarnate, set for release next year: http://www.progrockmag.com/news/panic-room-complete-album-no4/ But fans can hear some of their latest material on their last two shows of 2013, which take place over the next two weekends. They say: “We’ve literally just finished Incarnate. When it comes out we’ll be launching a major promotional tour of the UK and Europe in the spring and summer.” The sessions include guitarist Adam O’Sullivan after the band decided to “take a risk” while looking for a permanent replacement for co-founder Paul Davies, who bowed out earlier this year. Panic Room explain: “We were very lucky to be joined by Pete Harwood on lead guitar duties this spring and summer, at a time when we could easily have faltered. But Pete also has his own band, Morpheus Rising and he has a huge amount on his hands already. “Adam is a rare find: he has a vast sonic spectrum which means he can totally rock out, yet also play with great sensitivity and an effortless elegance. We hope he will also continue with us into 2014 as we have a whole load of exciting opportunities ahead to share.” They say of the final shows of 2013: “Our special guests at Shildon Civic Hall in County Durham on November 24 are Winter In Eden. Then on December 1 we’ll play the Robin 2 in Bilston with guests Morpheus Rising. It’s always rammed, this one, and always an amazing end-of-year finale, but new roomies are always welcome.” More details on Incarnate, the follow-up to 2012′s Skin, will be released in due course. |
