Apparently today is Recycling Awareness Day or some such thing, and my boss' daughter was just on the local news to talk about things people should do during the holiday season to either recycle or purchase recycled goods.

I used an old pillow in my bass drum when I was a young high school lad.  Unfortunately, when I wanted to play I would often find our cat taking a nap in the drum.
Before or after you started playing? LOL

Before.  I'm not an a****le.  LOL
Oh I'm sure LOL but I could imagine a case when you might start playing before you knew the cat was in there.
Was he covering Slayer in that case? LOL

The situation was such that when I entered the room, I could see if he was in there or not.

Actually I did play a lot of Slayer back then... Cool
Awesome! Big smile

As much as I liked metal back in the day with Metallica, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Megadeth hardly leaving my play rotation I never really got into bands like Slayer and Venom.  I kind of drew the line with them back in the day.   I've gone back and listen to some Overkill somewhat recently and thought that to be pretty good.  I wonder if my feel may have changed for bands like Slayer and Venom.  I guess I will have to go back and check them out again one of these days.

I wouldn't really call myself a Slayer fan, but I have a few of their albums that I reserve for extreme headbanging moments, which are rare for me, but satisfying all the same.

Cats are scared of anything new that's large, especially if it makes noise.

I have one song from them called You Give Me Worms from the album Sexual Harassment.  On the surface, this does not sound like something I would like.  LOL

WOMEN'S REVENGE

'Cash, check or charge?' I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase.

As she fumbled for her wallet ,
I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse.

'So, do you always carry your TV remote?' I asked.

'No,' she replied, 'but my husband refused to come shopping with me,
and I figured this was the most evil thing I could do to him legally.'
