Hi,
Caravan ... for me, with a touch of the Mesquite Honey!
Anyone else?
(That's a smoked tea, by the way that the hip company from Portland apparently does not do anymore. It was softer and nicer than Lapsang Souchong!)

Never did like iced tea. I think my favorite has been Indian with the spice. I don't know what variety they use, I think it's darjeeling. I like hot green tea in Chinese restaurants as well. Also Earl Grey.

I just drink the tazo crap and other stuff that comes in boxes in the supermarket. Chai tea, earl grey, and whatever as long as its not that herbal bull. Too lazy to go out and find some fancy teas.

Chocolate spice, earl grey with vanilla, and regular black tea with milk and barely any sugar are my favourites.

Any kind of spiced Indian Chai is ok by me...sometimes in the winter I drink herbal mint and Constant Comment as well as Earl Grey.

I can't say I've ever had a teabag with a string that long.

I don't see what was wrong with the old Tea thread, it served us well enough up until now but ho-hum, I guess it's how things are, no point complaining to moaning about it, best just sit down with a nice cuppa and mull-over more pressing matters than fret about the virtual meaning of virtual life and all things intrusive and insistant.
Of late, reflecting perhaps my advancing years / glancing tears / dancing ears / enhancing fears (** delete as applicable**), I have become particular to partaking o' Afternoon Tea (the repast not the beverage), replete with thinly cut smoked salmon and cucumber sandwiches, warmed scones with the necessary accoutrements of clotted cream and fruit preserve, delicate cakes and pastries and copious cups of freshly brewed tea, sweetened as required, suitably milked if need be. Russian caravan is indeed a tea to savour on such occasions, dark and smokey, though an oolong serves just as well as would a good assam. One establishment we patronised furnished a selection of teas to sample, with appropriately timed hour-glass timers for us to control the infusion process to obtain optimum flavour from each leaf type. Another "tea house" (in the fair city of Bath in an upstairs refreshment lounge over looking the famous Pump House), supplied digital devices that blipped and flashed to signal that the tea was a idea comsumption strength.
Then sometimes such refinement and ceremony is not befitting the occasion or the location, though quite what prompted this reacion escapes me (even if it was in Cornwall) ...
(please note the WOMAD Tea Shirt and something on the plate that looks suspiciously like a muffin...) Edited by Dean - November 11 2013 at 16:15 |
