You pretty much hit the nail squarely on the head with this paragraph, as far as I'm concerned.

Being "churched" doesn't mean being Christian, even remotely.

That's exactly what I was getting at.

[eye-roll] You make it sound like I can do something about it. Everywhere I lived (namely Russia and America) the economy is always s$%tty. Russia has undergone a whole series of the so-called defaults. Plus, it's extremely difficult to find a job there. In the US lots of people pay for things with money they don't have ... and never will, ... and those that do have money ... good for them!
We could do something about it but it's gonna be really tough but we can try and it's definitely possible.
What do you propose?

Have you heard of sarcasm?
Always assume that we all heard of it. You just have to make the sarcasm of your comments clear.

Slart, that pic would look even better with you holding, instead of a guitar, a rifle .

I've learned to avoid political discussion in real life. No one agrees with anyone. Its pointless. You can't change someone's mind unless they've already changed it themselves. Plus trying to explain your position is impossible if the other person is unfamiliar with the associated history, philosophy and terminology. The best you can usually do is agree on one particular issue or shake your head at something someone says. You can't even argue with people with your own ideology on the finer points..... tried that..... people are naturally intractable.

Aaaaaaaand there it is. For all the liberals (or Democrat supporters that want to be liberalsLOL) that were saying "oh yeah all this is clearly the death of the Republican party"
Turns out whadya know...like every single time one of the parties is resoundly beaten, after a few years they have sprung back with a new leader and plan.

If they have any smarts (which granted I question if they do) Christie and his no nonsense, lacking of social conservative talk is the way to go now. It's 2013 and despite the rallies of some, no one wants to hear this "send us back to 1920" moralist crap. He did try to hold up gay marriage, which I guess can score some brownie points with that crowd, and he's shown that willingness to "put aside politics" that we've been sorely lacking.

More shocking than Christie was that McAuliffe only squeaked by when he was supposed to win by double digits.

That's not shocking, really.  McAuliffe is no prize.  That election was a choice between pond scum and dog poop, and the people chose pond scum.
