The only album I like by them is their debut. Rest isn't rock influenced enough, sounds like boring electronic.

I'm programming currently, so "boring" is good.

I recorded a lead guitar part for one of Jack's Rare Goat songs ("Tin Man") a few weeks ago.  I still have a lot of trouble playing lead parts and solos cleanly in a "studio" setting.  I'm not much better at live work, but at least in that case it's a spontaneous thing and is over when it's over.  For studio every little flub is there forever and ever unless you get it just right.  Anyway, I knew this was just going to be a "rough draft", as I had just come up with the part the day before and hadn't really perfected playing it yet (still haven't, really, but anyway).  So anyway I recorded this part and I'm really disappointed with it.  The funny thing is the other guys in the group don't seem to think it's that bad.  And I don't think they're just being polite.  I just know my own playing so well and know when I hit notes I don't mean to.

Happy Accidents maybe, but try and recreate them live.

I'm not sure whether the new thread title is mildly humorous or mildly offensive or if it is mildly offensive humor.

NOT AS GREEN AS BLUE

If I were only color blind

I could fail to see the difference

In the shades of shirt you choose to wear

But lately I’m forced to find

A conclusion or an inference

That impedes on my tendency to care

The color of your shirt

Does not look like dirt

As it would were I unable to see

But as I can see

As you’re in front of me

Your shirt is definitely either blue or green

I don't really see the offensive part and I consider the humorous part quite minimal.

To imply that slavery is kind-of bad instead of totally bad can be construed as somewhat offensive.  But I suppose, that if interpreted similarly to someone saying that they are kind-of pregnant, then I guess it isn't offensive.
