By the wat, sad thing about Lou, han? I always found hard to listen to some of his material without a little feeling of melancholia and now...

I haven't listened to any Lou Reed yet since he died.  But when I'm ready I'll probably do a nice mini-marathon of my favorite albums.

This album is hypnotically dark and somehow makes the chill that creeps up your spine groovy.

Not bad  but not sure if I would want a whole album of that.

It's actually nothing like solo Lou Reed or normal Metallica albums. It's very experimental, with tastes of industrial and punk.
I think it's not particularly a great record, but it's beautifully imperfect, and I think it has kind of a special place as the last Lou Reed album.

Lou Reed was the kind of artist that was so inventive in what he was doing that he made almost intolerable to listen what other artists would record trying to sound like him.

A few years ago he released a live performance of the album ("Berlin Live at St Ann's Warehouse") that I would recommend if you haven't heard it k

Nice vid, Chris. Never listened to Marius Müller before. Disappointing, I know. I've heard a lot about him, but never really checked out his music. Perhaps I should do something about that someday.
but did you like it
As I said, it was nice, but really not my kind of music. The guy could play guitar though. A sad loss.

I have a download of the song The View.  It is kind of strange.  You can kind of hear some Metallica in the bass and drums but the spoken word style of Lou Reed is kind of strange on top of it.

The rest is pretty much like that, but with weirder structures and riffs and Lou Reed will start screaming a lot.

If you can hear Metallica in the drums, then I guess I shouldn't even try it.

Lou Reed had the same birthday as Helmut Koellen. (March 2nd)
Don't know Reed's material very well.
