I do, but that's because I don't really care about physical copies and tend to just use iTunes or burn my uncle's copies (he has most of them as well). I haven't listened to all of them.

I own most of them, although I'm missing a few metal and neo ones. Gotta stress this though: the real fun starts when one goes exploring beyond the confines of it. I myself have an affinity for Krautrock, RPI, RIO and electronic - yet there is almost nothing of those varieties featured on the top 100 (No Tago Mago or Yeti?!?!?!). I know why - people like to stick with what they know - and what others know, and I don't have any problems with being part of a minority that likes to listen to strange/weird/obtrusive music. My point remains that people should sample stuff outside of the top. I have at least 200 albums that I personally think could make a brilliant top list - and none of them are included in the current  |

Same here. I've got most of the top 20, being that they're essentially must-own albums, but after that, it's mainly personal preference. I'm also somewhat of a completionist, so I'll buy all of one band's albums before I check out a new band sometimes.

I agree with you and most of my collection are not on that list of course. My friend Greg turned me on to many obscure and strange bands over the years and that is really the bulk of what I own now though I do of course have all the usual suspects that we all know and love.
btw..I pulled out Tago Mago and Monster Movie the other day to revisit them.....and Yeti is my favorite Amon Duul 2.

As per norm, Our favorite Dane is dead on correct! I also have little interest in metal (no Opeth except for damnation, no DT at all). I prefer electronic, space, RPI, neo, symphonic. I could also put together a top 200 without the 'usual suspects'. This IS a popularity contest ! I have 63

Yeah, while I have 73 of the top 100 my personal top 100 is a very different list. Only 25 of my top 100 is on the site top 100. My top 20 only has 5 of the site top 100 in it.

Just 9. The highest-ranked album I have is Wish You Were Here, at No. 4. Also (going slightly off-topic) very pleasantly surprised to see SW's Raven ranked so highly on the all-time list (No. 27).
Come to think of it, where are Brain Salad Surgery and Tarkus, two albums which I thought were among the most highly regarded in prog?
4, 7, 9, 27, 39, 43, 45, 80 & 87.

Cool to see so many who feel the same way about this. There's so much incredible music to be found outside of the top lists - one just have to look for it and at times take a chance with something unfamiliar.
Roedent: ELP has always been a rather polarising act on here. If you go to the page of Brain Salad Surgery and take a look at the reviews, you'll see a lot of 5 and 1 stars. Just like Amon Düül ll or CAN come to think of it. These acts seem to sport equal measures of fans and folks who are repulsed by them - go figure. Anyway, that's why an act like ELP, who by many are seen as one of the pivotal names of the initial prog wave, isn't included on the top 100. Anyway, who cares? Music is not sports.
