Another decent local entry....

Yeah...there's a local liquor store in my town that does the same thing...you can pick your own 6 pack. I usually ask this one guy who works there since he knows my taste in ales. Right now I'm really into Two Bros Domain Du page...a French style country ale. My other favorite for several years now is Three Floyds Robert The Bruce, a Scottish brown ale. But I like all kinds of brown ales, stouts, porters etc. I even drink the odd lager and some IPA things....but many of the IPA's are just too hoppy and bitter for me.

Whisky aged beers are more and more common the last few years.  Another trend that seems to be picking up is cognac-aged stouts (WHICH ARE DELICIOUS)

Good one.. I like their ales, and several of them have that oak bourbon thing going on. The one I last drank by them had a similar flavor but different name. ...I think it was the vanilla one..?

It is so cool that there are so many small and local craft beers to choose from.  When certain ones get too big and start to mass produce, if the taste suffers, there are new ones coming.  Hopefully the mammoth brewers do not figure out a way to strangle the little guys by distribution.  I would expect that to happen, yet, judging by what's on the shelf, indie brewers are still there in large number.

I think it was a seasonal brew.

I just checked on nogne-o.com, and it was a one off, now retired.

They also had a one off called Tangerine Dream, an IPA with a strong taste of orange. I would've liked to have had a taste of that one.
