^ Ohhhhhh.... Good one!! What a creative band! What I like about this album is that every song is totally different than the other, each one takes a different direction.

Quite a milestone it is, in the prog world. Funnily enough, I found it in a record store (vinyl) a few months ago and had no idea what it was, but it looked interesting so I took a gamble on it. Then I read all the rave reviews on PA and was glad to learn that I had located one of the very first prog albums that no one knows about, and an ultra-rarity to boot. I'm still getting used to the oddness of it all. It's a special album.

Definitely a milestone and not so obscure actually, a lot of people see it as one of the first prog albums and I think it is. If you have it on vinyl it means that you don't know the bonus tracks added on the CD version, which are fantastic, but never mind this enjoy your vinyl. I would rate it with 5 stars just because to my ears it's quite groundbreaking for the time, 100% progressive!
|
I did see that the CD version had some highly recommended bonus tracks, so I went ahead and bought those as downloads to complement the LP. I'm not as familiar with those yet but they sound at least as interesting as the album tracks.

Smart move my friend, some are alternate takes, which usually I don't care for but this time I do, and the rest is very good unreleased material. Enjoy and tell the world!
