I chose France simply because it's what they do best.
I would recommend you try Peruvian cuisine, not exactly the culinary capital of the world. However, Peru has a rich variety of poultry and fish dishes. It's probably best known for Cebiche, fish "cooked" in lemon juice.
Ivan,

Well, it depends on what you're going for, doesn't it? I mean if you
want burgers, you'd be best off in the US, whereas it'd be the UK for a
Cornish Pasty. And when I think of all the great asian food.... Thank
god you don't have to stick to what all those countries above have to
offer as it's the diversity you can find nowadays which make it
bearable. One country=one food would be boring, wouldn't it?

I go with Cuba. I grew up on the stuff, and it's a phenomenal experience of the taste buds.

Food is pretty subjective, of course, but I rather suspect it one major reason why I decided to come home to Malaysia ... the variety of food is simply amazing ...
This is the intro to a site called malaysianfood.net ... BTW, I personally think American food (especially the spicy stuff from Louisiana and Texas) kicks the butt of all Northern European food I've eaten ... also most, but not all, Asian food I've eaten outside of Asia feels pretty "doctored"
Malaysian food is not one particular distinction of food but a culinary diversity originating from it's multi ethnic population of Malay, Indian, Eurasian, Chinese, Nyonya and the Indigenous peoples of Borneo. A brief look into the past and how this multi ethnic country came to be, is essential in order to comprehend how such a cosmic array of food, has now come to be known all over the world as Malaysian Food.

Mexican food is yummy, as well as Chinese. I like the food in the US too, BBQ is good. I've been to 7 countries and of those I'll go with Mexico I love tacos and burritos and salsa.
