^ Good luck with that, since I have heard neither.....yet! I bet the Duck knows, he knows all.
I am chiming in to say that Michael has a mighty fine review of an album/band that I am quite interested in after reading all the RPI heavy hitters that reviewed that album. That being Progenesi and the album Ulisse: L' Alfiere Nero. I love instrumentals, and this sounds great from the reviews. I have not been able to find it in the Zon (CD or MP3) and they typically have one or the other or both in most cases. Has this been officially relased?

Yep, Jim, because I was constantly referring back to the CD titles on the back of the case while writing it!
I got my copy from Greg Walker at Syn-phonic, so he might still have it available. And you won't believe it, I'm at work actually listening to that very album right now! |

Yes Michael, it's the same dude, only with a different last name. I don't think the vocals sounds that different from each other, you can hear the similarities in those more rawer L'Uovo di Colombo tracks. |

Yepp, the guys real name is Tartarini, Gionta was a made up artist name.
He also appears on one track on the "Il Reale Impero Britannica" album. |

Thanks guys, knew I hadn't misread that info, I'll have to now give them both a fresh listen!
Ah yes, that infamous `My Damned S**t' track on the Britannica album! Would have been perfect to me without that track! |

Pierre, I commented on a review I read of that album, saying `What a schizophrenic album! Like a beautiful operatic classical soundtrack to a nightmare! Even the girl on the front cover looks sinister!'

I understand. I lived a last sinister day at my work today. I saw the evil devouring alive an old person I cared a lot. I wasn't able to do nothing. The evil wore the clothes of good. It had the angleic face of the girl on the cover of this Opus avantra's abum.

Pierre, you've wrapped up work for good?! Plenty of time to listen to outstanding Italian prog then!
Two very postive Italian album reviews from Kev Rowland on the front page right now, one for that great little Psycho Praxis album: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=1010716 and one for the latest work, `Hystero Demonopathy' from Mr Bartoccetti's Antonius Rex project: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=1010637 I'll get around to reviewing that one myself eventually too, as I plan to keep doing writeups on all of the Rex/Jacula related work! |

Line up those Ducks and convalesce. Sorry for the tragedy, but I have a feeling ducks and RPI will help you through this time. :) |

His Antonius Rex review really intrigued me too, I might get that album. I'm ashamed to say that I never heard them, but I know you really dig'em Mike.

I have to pop out of retirement briefly to share some cool stuff I was sent. This is one of my favorite young Italian bands, just love their sound. Enjoy and check out their debut EP on their web site too. The first two are new live clips.
All tracks can be heard here on streaming: http://www.thegeneration.it/home/ Hope to see someone else at this site review them besides me! Ok, back to the hills for me......cheers guys! |

I've got that Generation CD, just haven't given it much of a listen yet. I seemed to get it with a whole bunch of Italian stuff and it hasn't quite been able to rise to the surface yet. My initial quick listen sounded quite promising, with a bit of an indie rock/pop vibe too.
Pierre, you might like this one, the band L'Albero Del Veleno, who've just put out their debut album `Le Radici Del Male'. Most of the album is a mix of Goblin-like eerie atmosphere, but there's also stuff like this that sounds more like Biglietto Per L'Inferno, see what you think. The band will be added to the website in the next few days! |

As I crash asleep again while I struggle to get back into my sleep pattern after nightshift, I have just got my delivery from the Lasers Edge sale, one of which was the following I picked up for a few dollars:
