I have 2 dogs (used to be 3), and like them a lot. I've never been a dog or cat person, I just like both.

but a relationship with a dog seems closer than with a cat

maybe cuz we've bred them to be that way for centuries

ture, dogs usually like having us as companions while cats are usually not as enthusiastic

I dunno k, but I've been busy seeing the whole thing for the first time lately and Fire, Walk With Me and stuff, k. Good stuff = weird dreams, k. Won't even bother to mutate language, k. Too much of an effort, k?

Decided once again to trek through the Flaming Lips discography in hopes that I'll finally love the band.  Been doing this off and on for over 20 years.  I've liked them in small spurts but in the end I always get annoyed with them.   I got into them when their first 2 albums came out when I was in college but the stuff that came after that (which by most accounts is brilliant) just never connected with me.  I often get their albums (cheap) anyway in the meantime, with the assumption that I'll want to listen to them eventually.  The Soft Bulletin got me kind of interested for a little while since it sounded so new and groundbreaking at the time, but it didn't last long.  But now I'm starting to get interested again because I actually like The Terror.
