re: Spooky Tooth

It is practically impossible to listen to "Evil Woman" (on Spooky Two) without turning up the volume.

Metalhead trivia:  Spooky 2 also has a song that Judas Priest later covered, see if you can spot it.

Spooky Tooth had a great WTF moment with their "Ceremony" album, a collaboration with a French avant garde artist.  Can't say it's a good album but it's an interesting detour.
Looked at the song titles.  Better By You, Better Than Me definitely jumps out as a song that I have heard Judas Priest play.
It's that. As far as I know they (Spooks) weren't sued when those two jackasses in the 80s tried to shoot themselves (one did succeed) while listening to the Priest cover.

I am listening to Spirit's 1984 for the first time.  Odd that it was banned from AM radio back then.  Quite tame compared to many things heard on the radio since then.

Yeah, I think 1984 is a real lame song, to be honest.

edit: "real lame" is pretty harsh actually.  let's just say it's not a favorite.

Larry Young is cool.  Hadn't heard that before, thanks. Good music there.

Andy: Would if I could and I can so I will.  Put me down for one box.  Don't care what it is.  Dealer's choice.

Darryl:  I'll put you down for shortbread.

Andy:   Damn it.

I remember that happening in the show.
