Birthday coincidences are hardly obscure (maybe only if you were born on some Feb 29th I might accept the claim, and even so with reservations).

Obscure facts concerning italian band names: Le Orme's original name idea was "Le Ombre" to pay a tribute to The Shadows but in Venice "Le Ombre" means "wine glasses" and so they changed their mind and chose Le Orme version (it means footprints). Another important italian symphonic band (Premiata Forneria Marconi) chose this name because Mauro Pagani knew an actual baker's shop called like that: they liked the idea of a name that reminds something that you make (it could be bread or music) but they also wanted to add something prestigius, so they added Premiata (=prize winning).

David Hanselmann a half american/german vocalist was invited to become
the new singer with Genesis after Gabriel left. He couldn't get a U.K. work permitt, and so history went another way This guy also worked with Zombie Woof on their second Album, which never saw the light of day. He toured with Colosseum II but never recorded with them. He was the lead singer with Eela Craig, as they stopped making records (he sings on one track on Hats of Glass). He sang lead on Triumvirats second worst album "A la Carte" and on "Using the Head" by Message and on the totaly unkown Album by Firehorse (an Eloy spin off). That guy really didn't have much luck. The only Thing that really went well was the Evans & Hanselmann - Stonhenge thing. Edited by TheH - July 28 2013 at 09:55 |

That's interesting because I've always understood that they couldn't find anyone suitable which is why Collins stepped out from behind his kit.

They could have thought of Kevin Gilbert, I bet he would have gladly accepted, and on top they would have gained a multi-instrumentalist.

They should obviously have invited Demitrio Stratos to join, when Peter ran away. My oh my how Trick would've sounded different...

The Guide says there is an art to flying or rather a knack. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.

^ I like to think of it as "David's comments while taking a piss." The posts kind of work like speech bubbles to the picture.
