Hi all,

I just ran across this on another site I hang out at (Ultimate Guitar) and thought others here would like to know about it.

I was hoping someone would start a thread about this!!

I'm really pulling for SOUND OF CONTACT for break through artist.

Also. For the choices their was. I voted for Stephen Wilson's The Raven that refused to sing.
I was sad not to see Comedy of Errors mentioned in any categories. They really are great!

Also. Band of the year. RUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSHHHH!
    Of course man!

And I voted for the 2112 special edition/comic book as the best box set. ;)

What a bland selection.  But I guess there wasn't a lot to choose from this year.

And I'm annoyed that The Raven Who Refused to Sing will win album of the year.... so overrated

I agree.  There are so many better artists/albums that should be nominated.

^^ guys. I could not agree more. 2013 has been so good and for Wilson's Raven to probably win? Ah come on. I'd take T's Psychoanorexia or Comedy of errors Fanfare and Fantasty over that album any day.
It's a joke really. Don't get me wrong, but The Raven album is good but it's not the best in my opinion.
I think those Prog-Rock magazine dudes should have done more homework. It's obvious they didn't. They just picked albums from big names in prog for the album of the year category. Again...what a joke. :(

Definitely.  I mean, they nominated Rush.  Did Rush even do anything other than tour?  I feel like the magazine did that just so they could put "Rush" on the advertisements.

    Hi,

i think I will be glad to die one of these days, and stop having to read and listen to this pile of drivel.

With as much music, that is out there, and in so many countries ... even Steve Hackett is 2nd rate next to many others, although all of us will soft-pet him because we liked him in Genesis.

I can handle Marillion in the mix, as they deserve it for longetivity alone, and never having quit when things were not going well ... but the rest ... I'm sorry ... I like PT and I do not have anything against SW's solo projects or work, but he is not the voice of the great work ... he's the voice of the 2nd best, that has lost its desire to trip and love music for what it is ... music!

Close your eyes, and let it live!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Yeah. What did Rush do besides releasing a kick-ass box set of waaaaaay past material of 2112.
Anyway, it's seems kind of shady to me. ;)
